The Walking Holiday Company arranges quality accommodation for walking holidays and hiking tours in the UK
Accommodation
We know that after a long day you will want to find your accommodation easily, and for it to be welcoming, clean and comfortable! We also believe that as often as possible you should be able to walk directly to your accommodation, without the need for transfers. Each night is usually spent at a different location, so knowing your luggage is waiting for you is essential.
Facilities
The accommodation we book for our clients is always good quality, tried and tested, 3* (or more) guest houses, B & B’s, small hotels or inns. We always request en suite or private facilities where available, although sometimes due to restricted choice in some locations, this is not always possible. If you wish to upgrade your accommodation to 4* or more, or have any specific requirements, then please advise us and we can give you a revised price.
Dogs Welcome
If you would like to bring your dog on your walking holiday it is essential that you advise us in advance. ‘Dog friendly’ accommodation is available at some of the accommodation but we do need to make special provision for this.
Meals
A full breakfast is included in your holiday price. For your evening meals, we will normally direct you to a local good pub, inn or restaurant which will have been recommended to us by your accommodation host. Sometimes you will eat ‘in-house’ where there is nowhere suitable or local to walk to. You are responsible for paying for your evening meal.
Packed Lunches can usually be purchased locally, and can be requested from your accommodation host in some locations. Again, you are responsible for payment.
